A Las Vegas native, Vicki Pettersson always loved to write, but a post-college stint in public relations convinced her that "working on assignment" was not the career for her; so she did what any self-respecting Vegas girl would do: she became a showgirl by night . . . a closet novelist by day. A decade and a handful of manuscripts later she became an instant bestseller with the March '07 release of her dark urban fantasy THE SCENT OF SHADOWS.
