A final decision on this year’s writing contest has been made, and the results will be announced on Friday, October 23 at 6:45pm PT by the judges themselves. And while we’ve never actually done it before, this strange world we live in now is calling out for change, so by popular demand, here is our short list of stories and writers for this year. In no particular order they are:
‘June Sisters’ by Jolie P. Hoang
‘Sunshine’ by Eve Salomans
‘Personal Demon’ by Barbara Lund
‘The Smell of Screaming’ by Adrienne Gruber
‘My Name is Philomena’ by Robin Malcolm
‘The Life Coach’ by Keith McCormick
‘Mokui’ by Robert Cunningham
‘Arrival in Tombe’ by Nancy O’Rourke
‘He and She’ by Dana Tye Rally
‘Maslow Meets the Mayfly Moon’ by Janet K Smith
On behalf of the Board of Directors of SiWC and your judging committee, congratulations to all the contest entrants, and to those on this list of particularly stellar entries! Tune in on Friday evening to hear the winners announced by our beloved judges Diana Gabaldon and Jack Whyte. See you then!
